Go First has been ordered by the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to halt directly or indirectly booking or selling tickets with immediate effect and until further orders.
As a result of their failure to continue operating the service in a safe, effective, and reliable way, the DGCA has issued a show cause notice to Go First under the applicable sections of the 1937 Aircraft Rule. They are required to respond within 15 days of receiving the notification.
Their response will be used as the basis for the decision of whether to renew their Air Operators Certificate (AOC).
